This is a great quality sunshade. I can definitely tell the quality difference between this and the cheaper alternatives that are available. Definitely a long lasting shade.The only issue is that the sail is so sturdy (on account of the steel wire sewn into the edges) that it is difficult to tension unless you have really really solid sail supports. We just finished our deck in the back and wanted it to have some shade, so when we saw this we knew it would be perfect. We secured it to the house, then two Light poles and it is solid in place, only moves a little in the wind. Thick and sturdy too, no need to worry that it will blow or rip off. This sun shade is good quality and the seams are sewn tightly. And it’s HUGE so we didn’t have to put up several separate ones in order to cover the length of the pool. This shade makes a big difference this year with the constant 100+ degree weather that makes it too hot to be in direct sun. Love the look and quality of this shade sail. We have it in a temporary set up where we can use omit one day and take down the next. So being that it’s not as taunt as a permanent install, may be the cause for all the water pouring through, but definitely not as water proof as was expecting. This is everything it was described as. Well built, wonderful shade, easy to install but it does take some muscle. Definitely get, if you don't already have, rachet straps to help pull it to the connecting points. This makes it easy. It is not waterproof, it does drain well so it doesn't sag.
