I have a nine year old daughter with autism. When she's overexcited and needs comfort, dark spaces help her calm down, which is why we ordered this tent for her bed to give her a safe place to calm down. I was able to set up the tent myself, the instructions are very detailed. easy to read and follow. The rental does exactly what we ordered it to do. I love the zippered windows and doors that allow for easy access to the interior of the tent. We've only had the tent for about 6 months and it's holding up well with no rips or tears. What is frustrating about the tent is that the mattress fits inside the tent. This is frustrating for two reasons. Firstly, changing the linens on the bed is almost impossible as there is only one zipper on half of the tent that runs the full length of the bed. Another feature of this tent is that my daughter often stuffs her stuffed animals into the side of the tent while she sleeps. As a result, the tent has shifted and is now hanging to the side of her bed. To fix this we need to lift the mattress and re-enter the tent. All in all, the little annoyances are worth the safe space this tent offers my daughter. It also retains heat quite well so she often gets very warm in it which is a plus for the little girl who throws the covers off every night!
