Review on YAMAHA CD-S1000BL Super Audio CD Player in Black for Enhanced Natural Sound Experience by Christina Reynolds

This is my first SACD player but not the first Yamaha product to have been a big hit in the music and audio world! The first thing that catches your eye upon unboxing is the solid build quality of this device. This is a beautiful item with wooden side panels, kind of an old retro 70's style that I like. The Single Disk Loader is absolutely silent, using a kind of mesh screen instead of gears. I have purchased several hybrid sacds from Analogue Productions, MOFI and Universal Music Japan (SHM-SACD) and the soundstage, depth, instrument and vocal separation is amazing! Highly detailed highs, mids and lows on these discs, you'll hear sheet music on regular Redbook CDs like you've never heard them before! Super Audio CDs are the sound of the future, quite expensive, but absolutely the finest audiophile sound. Another find from Yamaha!
