Use freescan if you don't know how to program a trunk scanner!

I had two house patrols and had trouble communicating with both of them. I thought Home Patrol would be easier to program. No, that is not so! The programmed part loads hundreds of unwanted frequencies. The included software is so confusing it's crazy! But back to B996P2. This scanner has excellent reception with the supplied antenna. Between radio reference and freescan, programming was very easy. Just watch some YouTube videos to get familiar with the free scan. And it is highly recommended to pay at least 6 months radio to get the right frequencies in the order and format the scanner needs, which costs $15. Worth the money! The people who give bad reviews about this scanner don't have the patience or interest to learn some things. The only thing that bothers me is updating the firmware and installing drivers. I had problems with it, but maybe I did something wrong? I don't think so, but maybe. This may be a USB 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 compatibility issue. Once that was done, the rest was easy.
