Review on 8-Pack GE Lighting 67773 Reveal A19 Light Bulbs - 53-Watt, 790-Lumen, Medium Base by Andrew Vijayakumar

Conforms to federal guidelines

I am very sensitive to light quality. I just couldn't get away from lightbulbs. And there's no lamp quite as beautiful as the Reveal (I like the metal halide lamps I saw on the Butterfly Show at the Smithsonian Institution. I thought I was in an atrium with a glass ceiling that lets the sun in. But metal halide lamps are obvious not designed for ordinary installations, heat up a lot and are extremely bright for a normal-sized living room). I also love halogen bulbs (they are lit with a metal filament and glow halogen gas so I think they are full spectrum). The fact is that LEDs emit light with exactly one wavelength. I don't know how to overcome this unless each diode operates at different wavelengths. Again, this leaves a large part of the spectrum. So I'm a bit desperate for lightbulbs as they're getting harder and harder to find. The Reveal LED just doesn't do it justice when it comes to rendering the full color spectrum. These halogen bulbs are very similar to regular Reveal bulbs. I can't say for sure if there is a difference in color temperature (when I complain about LEDs, everyone points out that there are now LEDs with warmer color temperatures). But when you put red, yellow, blue and brown cloth under these Reveal halogen bulbs, they all shine bright and bright, which is not the case with fluorescent lighting or even the best LEDs. Reveal lamps are efficient enough to meet federal regulations and are not being phased out. Nice! I'm happy!
