For baking bread, this shaker is a great addition to your tools. With this you can easily sprinkle a bread pan with rice four. You can also use it to sprinkle powdered sugar on desserts. All you have to do is shake the shaker. It doesn't work if you turn it upside down. No wonder it's called a shaker. Some complain that the lid doesn't close well. I don't see it at all.
