Manuka Organics has created the best moisturizer I have ever used. I first purchased a 4 ounce container of Honeyskin Organics Aloe Vera + Manuka Honey in December 2016 and recently purchased a second container. The former would last longer if I only used it on my face and neck, but I also used it as a body lotion so it faded pretty quickly. , I have learned that the cost is not equal to the purchase price. Some of the best things I own have been bought at the Dollar Store! On the cost scale Honeyskin is of course no clue, no, not at all! I've bought over $100,000 worth of moisturizers that don't compare to Honeyskin. HS is non-greasy and absorbs quickly, but if you apply too much (which I tend to do) it leaves a tiny white residue, so it's best to start with less. When I first put my hands down, it was like very rich whipped cream. I wanted to fill the tub with it and bathe in it. It is impossible to accurately describe the delicious texture of this amazing cream. HS has an entire recipe for nutritious foods including manuka oil. Some people seemed to think the product didn't contain enough manuka oil to justify its name or price. Over the years I have found that too much salt, sugar, garlic or any other ingredient will ruin a recipe. When I feel like my skin needs a little healing, the first thing I do is apply some Manuka essential oil to my arm. I've only done this once, it's just not necessary. With HS, less is more. My skin care routine is very basic but it has never failed me, I have never used anything other than a warm washcloth to clean my face and I use Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (with Mom) as a toner. I also use apple cider vinegar as a body and hair tonic before I get out of the shower. The smell dissipates quickly. ACV appears to stimulate hair growth and has antiseptic properties, which is great for those prone to folliculitis. ACV has almost the same body pH and is therefore not harmful to the skin. Apple cider vinegar has many healing properties and is good for many other things too, so don't be afraid to use it. After washing my face I apply ACV and when it dries I apply some hyaluronic acid gel which absorbs quickly and then apply HS. Despite the manufacturer's requests for a quick review, having learned that experiences change over time, I feel dishonest at this point and should update my original review. Now I can safely say that HS is an unusual value, as well as an unusual moisturizer. However, it should be borne in mind that while we are the same (humans), we are not the same because our genetic ladder determines our traits. So if you have acne I have no idea how this cream will affect you. But ACV would be nice. I use Braggs with my mom and Revain has one. By the way, in case you are wondering, "mother" consists of a white opaque substance that is a protein chain and it is not harmful at all. I can't in good conscience list the many wonderful things HS has done for me other than keeping my skin hydrated and healthy. I was blessed with a beautiful complexion and rarely had acne (hate that word). I am an elderly person, I have few complaints about my skin. I have a thing - angular cheilitis which is awful! Sounds pretty harmless, but it causes the corners of the mouth to bleed, the skin around the mouth to become dry and scaly, and the skin on the affected area to turn a grayish tint that makeup can't cover up. My lips dry, crack and peel every day until they bleed and my skin cracks. It makes me crazy! Nothing the doctor gave me seemed to help, but in the end I found that vitamin C in high doses was actually healing. Right now I'm taking about 3000mg a day to keep it under control and I use one of the battery powered skincare regimens about once a month to exfoliate my skin to keep it glowing and I use a very gentle exfoliating gel. I sometimes use a combination of essential oils as an exfoliant and my skin loves it. (Please don't buy expensive skin care brushes if you don't have much money). The last thing I never smoked. Tobacco kills beautiful skin, so don't start, and if you do, try to stop. So folks I hope you find this review helpful and if you buy the HS it's a great product and I'm surprised it doesn't cost much more than the purchase price. It's made of all sorts of good stuff that will nourish and moisturize without leaving a greasy residue, and your face will reward you many times over. Seriously, that's a good thing! The manufacturer of HS wants to provide information about using HS and answer questions from consumers because they want us to have a good experience with it. The product was shipped from the manufacturer but arrived on or near the expected date. , packaged appropriately, and the product is delicious! You know, I thought they should have called it something other than Honeyskin because it makes me think of sticky things and ants. Do you think I can persuade her to call him Yummyskin? Update 08/25/17: I have been using this wonderful cream for eight months now. In my previous review I mentioned that I had Angular Hellitis (AC) but thought that taking Vitamin CI was responsible for the improvement in AC. I shared my latest Honeyskin order with my sister and it ended sooner than I thought. About a week after I went without it, I noticed that the cracks, scaly, gray skin, and general appearance around my mouth and chin had returned. I now understand that Honeyskin plays an important role in maintaining AC control, which is why I'm ordering an 8 ounce cream today. I am also happy to report that my sister thinks this cream is the best she has ever used. Honeyskin is an amazingly affordable moisturizer and when combined with its healing properties, a great deal.
