This is a really good device. This is a memory card reader that works just as easily as a USB stick and looks just like it. I am very tired of USB sticks. My experience is that they are becoming increasingly unreliable. I was so fed up with using such bad drives that I decided to look for one that is known for its reliability. While searching, I found someone who recommended something like this device - a micro SD memory card reader with a USB interface. I now use this device instead of any USB stick and am very satisfied. I've been using this device for a few months and have found it to be much more reliable than a USB stick. Unlike many USB drives, which sometimes become unresponsive when plugged into a computer, this one is easily and much more frequently recognized. I also like the fact that you can choose your own capacity for the micro SD card you want to use. Since I started using the Raspberry Pis I've accumulated quite a few micro SD cards. I can quickly convert any of them to a USB stick just by plugging them into this device. This works pretty well. My only warning is that micro SD cards fit very tightly in this reader. They slide in easily, but I have to use a micro flathead screwdriver to pry them out. I can't get them out with my fingernail. The card is too tight and my fingernail just slips off the small ledge on the card. I think it's better to be too tight than too loose. Simple warning. As one reviewer said, it would be nice if this device had a small hole for a key ring. Many USB sticks offer this. That would be nice, but it's certainly not a deal breaker.%%%% Below is an update on my previous 5 star review. This device is great in theory. Unfortunately not for long. I bought this device on May 28th of this year. Today, October 17th, is the day I finally give up. This lasted less than five months; which doesn't make much sense for an electronic device with no moving parts. My SD cards have outlasted this device. That's really saying something, as SD cards are devices that really stand up to any wear and tear. I changed my rating to two stars because the whole purchase of this device was based on reliability. It didn't last any longer than a super cheap flash drive. I think you get what you pay for.
