This is a small device that I carry in my laptop bag. I use it every now and then and enjoy it. USB 3.0 to Micro SD transfer speeds are as expected. Did some tests with 200GB data transfer on Samsung Micro SD 256GB. I can tell you two things. 1. Typical transfer rates sometimes dropped to 300 KB/s and reached 212 MB/s. With average values around 90mb/s. (200GB transfer time took about 35-45 minutes, at least on my computer).2. When he was done, the thing felt hot. I would recommend not using it

The card reader has worked well so far and I haven't had any problems with it (5 months later when I wrote this review). Its size is really good to take with you everywhere. It's a little over a quarter. However, if you're interested in carrying it on a keychain, the answer is no. No hole or key ring to attach it to your keychain. My son and I used this to copy boot files for a new Raspberry Pi to a brand new SanDisk 64GB Extreme microSDXC card using my MacBook Pro. This is a really good device. This is a memory card reader that works just as easily as a USB stick and looks just like it. I am very tired of USB sticks.
