Update 4 November 2019 Gave this item a half star. It worked great for a year and a few months. Then the strut seal broke or something happened that leaked all the oil. The item was only $20 so was my money's worth, but oil spilled on my Tahoe loading mat, bumper and a huge oil slick in the driveway. I am not happy with the oily mess and stains on my carpet. Just a note. I wish I could add more stars! The tailgate struts on my 01 Tahoe failed one after the other. I went to Autozone/Oreili and they wanted 29-40 grand. So around $60 to $80 each, which seems fair until I checked the prices on Amazon. I sometimes go to Amazon for lower prices. Lower prices can go both ways, great product, or you need to take an "L" to be cheap. I won this time. Installing these racks took less than ten minutes. Maybe because I'm a handyman and I love working on things, but it was easy nonetheless. Just a scammer but more of a pro depending on who is looking but they are tough. You have to make an effort to close the door. Especially the first times. That's a bit of a pro too, once you know how much the tailgate weighs. This bad boy is heavy and can fall quickly to seriously injure someone. I definitely recommend these!
