I have a lot of experience with magnetic paints and gels and wear them often. The magnetic particles are either so thinly distributed in the gel that they are invisible, or they simply cannot move in the structure of the uncured gel. I've tested all 12 colors on Swatch Sticks, both over a gel base coat and over a black coat, and the result is pretty much the same - a faint - VERY faint - cat eye line. I wasn't trying to achieve a cat eye, I repeatedly worked with magnets of different strengths to achieve the desired effect (tapping particles off the nail tips to create a subtle velvety gradient from cuticle to cuticle) and it was impossible . The reflective shiny particles are so large and dense that they block any movement of the magnetic particles. To the previous reviewer - yes they are tacky. Unless otherwise stated (e.g. TC No Wipe), gel lacquer cures with an inhibition layer which disappears when the top coat is applied.
