I will update this review once I get enough sleep on it. but I wanted to say bluntly that I was disappointed that the down pillow alternative was pretty dated and I was really looking forward to this part. There is a very, very thin layer of some sort of padding in each square, but it is by no means plush or some kind of fluffy alternative duvet or fluffy alternative topper. This will not add any extra comfort, it is just for beauty. A cover is also sewn on. You must not wash it. No different than any memory foam core memory foam that feels comfortable. Not very thick and heavy. It is soft and can be crushed by simply grabbing and squeezing. I'm not sure what to expect when I sleep on it. Just take a look.
