I have bought many different slow feeders. This one is definitely my favourite. Even the more expensive ones. It holds over half an 80 pound bale of hay after being stretched and broken. He is durable. We've used it for a while and it shows little or no horse wear. The only recommendation I have to make to make it easier to open and close is to cut the rope that comes with it and use a thicker rope (we used a smaller rope) to tie the holes and it's a lot less of a hassle. Untie the knot to fill the pockets. Definitely slows down horses. We use two carabiners to attach the feeders to the tractor tires so the horses can't pull them out and throw them around. Also, an easier way to load the feeder is to pull it over the sides of the barrel, place the hay over the net/barrel, then pull the net over the hay and tie. super easy.
