After much research I found out that these sensors are able to work at 4 different frequencies so they can be used on most cars. Unlike traditional TPM sensors (which only work on one frequency) they need to be activated with a special tool (check their website for tools that activate them). Activation tells them on which frequency the broadcast is running. After installing these sensors I took my car to 4 different tire shops and none of them were able to activate them, I guess they didn't have an activation tool. I found an activation tool on ebay and activated it, now they work fine. Make sure the store that installs them can activate them if you want to use them.
