Love that they give my 9 year old son a visual representation of geometric shapes. This makes it easier for him to count surfaces, corners and edges. He's a very visual learner, so this set came in handy for that purpose. The plastic is more like sharp plastic than more rubbery plastic, so it will break more easily. There are little round "caps" for each piece - I think if you want to fill the molds with liquid. The caps fall off easily and don't stay in place well, so I wouldn't recommend filling these molds with liquid to compare volumes. Each shape is a good size - fits in the palm of my hand. They are great for providing 3D visualizations for geometric shapes, but the quality could be much better. I would recommend these if you have a visual learner but watch out for the price as they were cheaper when I bought them. Have fun with your studying!
