Great for viewing shapes but not the best quality

Love that they give my 9 year old son a visual representation of geometric shapes. This makes it easier for him to count surfaces, corners and edges. He's a very visual learner, so this set came in handy for that purpose. The plastic is more like sharp plastic than more rubbery plastic, so it will break more easily. There are little round "caps" for each piece - I think if you want to fill the molds with liquid. The caps fall off easily and don't stay in place well, so I wouldn't recommend…

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I ordered these not knowing exactly how big they are. For size comparison, I took a picture of a sample along with a can of lemonade for reference. They are useful for students who have difficulty visualizing geometric solids. They have small holes, so theoretically you can fill them with water and compare volumes. In practice, however, this is almost impossible. Liquid does not spill out easily from a small hole and it is impossible to pour it out completely. Sand doesn't work either. So they…

The shapes are asymmetrical and the measurements are inaccurate

I'm an artist and I bought this to practice drawing 3D shapes in different orientations. They are perfect for this purpose. I love colors and what I can see through them. The plastic feels solid and they are stable on flat surfaces. I understand they are for kids but if I cared more about accuracy I would send them back. Some shapes like the large cube, pentagonal prism, and triangular prism taper slightly by a few millimeters from end to end. The cube is barely visible, but when I unpacked it…

Falls apart easily - educational and activity toy

My kids love these shapes because they are bright, translucent and glow under LED light (great for lighted tables). I ordered them first because when teaching kids about 3D objects with book images, it's difficult to distinguish between 2D objects when first learning. This has helped increase my son's knowledge in kindergarten and my daughter who has autism has a better understanding of these forms. These shapes help emphasize that a cube is very different from a square, and later helped both…
