I bought this in November 2015 and just recently got sick of halos on my left thumb so I ordered a cheap T8 screwdriver and tried to take it apart . clear it. I forgot there is usually a hidden screw under the sticker that voids the warranty. Anyway, I started unscrewing all the visible screws and eventually I got frustrated and broke the back of the case (accidentally) in two [epic failure]. So here I am with the controller disassembled the way I wanted it and I find that one of the vibrating gizmos was soldered/broken. I don't know if I did it or if the wiring is too weak. Those are pretty thin wires. Well, anyhow, I remove my thumbstick and find that I can't get my Qtip with rubbing alcohol in the places that I need to clean. and here I am again with a busted controller, no solder, no compressed air, and a left thumb stick that's still blowing the hell out. I hope this can be linked to someone but then again it's probably all my fault. I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper now just to order soldering equipment and compressed air.
