I got this lock for my daughter's new laptop when she was a freshman. After setting the combination, it took me ONE HOUR to figure out how to actually get the lock to stay attached to the laptop. I couldn't get the lock to unlock the combination we set. I even tried a combination of factory settings, thinking maybe we didn't set it up from the start. In the end I asked the locksmith to CUT OFF the lock (it only took 10 seconds). While I see the benefit of a lock, next time I'll go with a lock and key instead! Thirty bucks down the drain (the locksmith cut the lock for free. What a nice guy)!
