Review on πŸ”Œ Belkin Power Strip Surge Protector - 12 AC Outlets, Ethernet & Cable Protection - 8 ft Extension Cord - White - 4000 Joules by Michael Hogate

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits my HDTV and other connected devices and gear

This particular surge protector is better than the Belkin BE112234, a thinner gray model that appears to be built out of Lego pieces. Had to return it to get this enhanced version which is MASSIVE but appears to be much better built and high quality. I attached two Command Velcro strips with the image on the back and attached them to the wall next to the home theater system. It seems to be doing its job well. However, it doesn't get 5 stars because it has phone and coax jacks, which I don't care. Especially since I don't have a landline phone. Empty space and two meaningless functions that I don't really need. Belkin should have other options and models on the market for users who don't care about having phone or coaxial jacks on their surge protector. I prefer USB ports. I also want the cable to be 10 feet long. The end cap is flat, but not as flat and thin as the Belkin BE112234. It's still a bit of a bulky head. However, this is not a right or left angled fork. I prefer the plug to be like this (no right/left tilt) as I find it much neater and the 8ft cable can be routed in either direction. I also want the 8ft cord to be white (considering the tread is partially white) rather than dark gray to blend in with the white walls. Oh well. Advantages:

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
