Review on 📀 DBPOWER DVD Player for TV: All-Region Free, HD 1080p Upscaling, HDMI & AV Output (Cable Included), Coaxial Port, USB Input, Remote Control Included by Drew Springer

I already have a BluRay player but I didn't buy it for it (it doesn't play Bluray discs). I have tons of DVDs from all over the world and wanted to buy a region-less player. So when I got the quote from DBpower (more on that below), ordering was a breeze. The device arrived and I was immediately struck by its small size and light weight. It came with HDMI cables and composite video/audio. I connected it and at first there was no picture. I pressed buttons on the remote, including the cryptic N/P button, but all I got was a cryptic "Root" readout on the front panel! I'm not sure what I did but eventually the image appeared and I went into the menu system - it's awful! The manual still mentions the "Enter" key, but there is no such key on the remote. I tried "OK" but that didn't seem to work. Needless to say, the menu navigation was a bug and there doesn't seem to be an option to go back to the previous level. I had to exit the setup screen completely and then re-enter to get to the next tab. Thankfully, I'll never need access to the setup screens again. Anyway, I went ahead and plugged in a region 2 drive and it played fine. The device served the purpose for which I bought it. Pros Low cost Small HDMI cable included Plays discs from all regions Cons Navigating the setup screens is a mess User manual not very helpful Disclosure I purchased this unit after receiving a full refund offer from DBpower, when I write a 5 star review. I have bought from them in the past (a starter motor for my car) and I liked the product. I believe they have already refunded half of the purchase price to my PayPal account. However, I'm not willing to give an automatic 5-star rating if the product doesn't deserve it. Awful menu navigation means at least one star has been deducted. In addition, the device does what I wanted - DVD playback without specifying the region. The picture shows the DPB power supply on my Insignia BluRay player for size comparison.
