Everything seems to be well made and I like the look but I have a couple of problems, one minor and one a bit more serious. I'm the only coffee lover in the house so I bought this a while ago, it's just a small 1 cup french press: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VKR4F8K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie= UTF8&psc = 1 and completely satisfied with everything. Then my son decided he was going to start drinking coffee and I bought this larger one. If you look at the lid of what I linked, you'll see that it's different from this one. I have found that when washing this lid I can hear the water sloshing around inside and it is impossible to pour out. I'm concerned about mold growing inside and it really turns me off. If there is a way I don't know to analyze it and if so, someone please tell me. Otherwise, my concern is almost enough to send it back before the date is up. The other thing is a bit smaller, I just find that while the little one doesn't miss any bases, this one does miss a bit. I may need to bend and shape the outer rim a little differently, but it consistently allows for multiple bases every time. Although I can handle it. Is there mold in the lid? no
