Very disappointed. These headphones play mono with no stereo separation - the same sound in either ear, despite the thin "L" and "R" markings just above the earcups. I sent them back for an exchange thinking they were defective but apparently this is a feature not a bug. The cable has a Lightning connector on one end (for iPhone, which plays great stereo sound through headphones) and on the other end a 4-wire (tip-ring-ring-ferrule) 1/8-inch connector for connecting to headphones . At least two different insertion points (different number of clicks) ensure that the headphones are played mono in both ears, but there is no setting or jack insertion mode that actually plays the headphones in stereo.
