Review on High Performance K&N Cold Air Intake Kit 🚀 for 2004-2011 FORD/MERCURY Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis (69-3532TTK): Increase Horsepower by Derek Davie

I have installed these filter systems on Jeep Liberty, GMC Yukon and Ford Explorer with no problems. They worked well and installation was easy. I recently installed one on my Grand Marquis and had a gap issue. I emailed K&N and they responded in a timely manner. The problem was that the heat shield was too high and the hood lifted sideways. See attached photo. The gray photo shows the outline where the protective seal has been stamped into the insulation of the lower part of the hood. After numerous letters, photos and the like, K&N's response was disappointing. Instead of offering a "solution" such as B. To lower the new screen an inch, they told me to uninstall the system, reinstall the factory system and send it back to K&N for a refund. REALLY? My solution would be to cut the shield in the area causing the problem and you'll be fine.
