Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Bulbrite 50-Watt Halogen JD Type DC Base Bulb, Q50CL/DC120-Volt, 50w by Denese Fothergill

Reasonable price for a quality halogen lamp.

I bought these bulbs for one of the lamps in the house. I bought them a few months ago and they haven't burned out yet so it's good in my book. As already mentioned, halogen lamps should be treated with care, see below. I usually check Ebay, Revain and Google for the cheapest supplier so this was the best deal I could find at the time of purchase. My wife used to buy many of these small specialty bulbs from her local lighting store, but I've found better prices online. These bulbs are rated for 2000 hours of use, which is the normal working time of a human over a year (5 days a week * 8 hours a day * 50 weeks a year). So unless you intend to replace them frequently, I wouldn't leave them on all the time. Attention The halogen lamp must not come into contact with the skin, even if you take it out of the packaging, as the quartz surface can be damaged by tallow and salt. This leads to a rapid failure of the lamp. Solution If the halogen lamp gets on your skin, you can gently clean the surface of the lamp with an alcohol-based liquid. Notes Halogen lamps burn at much higher temperatures than conventional incandescent lamps. If a halogen lamp burns out, you can touch it with your bare fingers, but you should wait at least 15 minutes for it to cool so as not to burn yourself.
