Review on SmallRig CCC2803 Camera Cage for Canon EOS R with Built-in Cold Shoe and Anti-Twist Design by Joe Stax

I recently upgraded to an EOS R and as always needed a cage for my grip and field monitor. I assume a CNC machined part is reliable. I've never liked half cages or other brands that offer two or more pieces together as they flex noticeably. In this version, the hot shoe area is lower so the bottom of the flash doesn't get bumped when I take a picture. My 6D MKii's cage was high enough to get hit and I had to push the flash up a bit. I will add my wish list for SmallRig when they change the design of this cage or when the new EOS Rii comes out. There are additional attachment points on the underside. I will use a small plate as I need more stability. Otherwise I really have nothing to complain about. Overall, the design is more refined, so I'm very happy with the purchase!
