OK! I was looking for something to keep this little guy off the devices. This set is worth it, as is the giant Tinker toy set! I had Tinker Toys as a kid and I remember making all kinds of creations. With a little adult supervision, you can build a variety of fortress-like creations for hours of imaginative play. This is not only entertainment, but also a tool for creative thinking. We can all be engineers and participate in real assembly at the same time! oh, and not only did it keep me from sitting at the computer, it stopped the little guy from asking for an iPad every 10 minutes. We had so much fun playing and building that we need a second set so everyone can have their own cottage. What's special about this set is that it's not a permanent structure (like pop up tents) but is stored in a handy drawstring pouch that's easy to take with you - you can set it up anywhere! the ability to keep it clean. I have 2 requests 1) to somehow mark holes to help with corner configurations 2) some more illustrations of the types of things to be built. That would be 5 stars but I think somehow marking the holes on the balls to easily see the corners would be a big help! But I guess having to figure it out for yourself is another way of learning during a game scenario.
