They sent me two of these devices and neither of them work. However, their behavior is different, although they do not work. In the first case, the white indicators light up and immediately after connecting B +. And when I start the car these lights flash rapidly. Everything else, no signs of life. The second was clearly a return as it had no packaging material and was missing all the screws. On this one the lights changed when I pressed the light button, everything flashed when I inserted a USB drive when I pressed the power button but there was nothing on the display. I have checked the correct voltage and ground on the shield connections and everything is fine. Pretty disappointed with this product. UPDATE: The new item they sent me was really bad. The used item they sent me was really good. I tried powering the unit from the red wire on the siamese video/power cable, but it wasn't big enough. Once I ran a dedicated power-only cable, it booted up just fine. At the moment I'm dealing with the noise of the generator/fan motor in a composite video. Turning off the air conditioning eliminates almost everything, but that's not an option in Las Vegas. Playing directly from USB is no problem, but I don't want to use it. I have composite video connected to my USB playback head unit. I'm going to put Pipeman's Inline Power Noise Suppressor Filter on battery power to see if it cleans it up. A lot of people use them for audio noise, but I've heard they clean up rear camera images as well. I hope he does that trick. Rating changed to 3 stars.
