This shoe should be comfortable enough for many people. I have chubby toes so I need shoes with a big toe box, especially considering my size. These shoes, like most Chinese-made shoes, are very flat in the toe area and put pressure on the toes. I wish I could go a size up but they are a size 7 which I ordered and they would probably fit me better in a 7.5 but they only come in a 7 to 8 not a 7, 5. The upper of the shoe is made of mesh and is therefore very comfortable. The mesh is soft so it doesn't provide lateral support when needed. I have a high instep and the strap is long enough to fit. I also have tall arches and needed to add supports to them. I've worn them for short walks, less than a mile, and they've been comfortable. However, I don't wear them for my long walks (2-3 hours) when walking on rocky and uneven ground.
