Bought this to replace a many year old unit that was lost when I moved house. It's perfect for shrinking heat shrink tubing, so I highly recommend it. One of the fittings provided with the kit distributes hot air through the tube. Where a lot of heat is needed, for example to thaw frozen pipes, it is not suitable, but it is not intended for that either.
