I recently bought an iPad Pro and was looking for a good stand when I found this one. The price is reasonable and it's a quality product and it works well with my iPad. Then I decided to add an Apple Pencil to my iPad, ordered it and everything worked fine. Apple configured the Apple Pencil to charge along one long side of the iPad Pro. The stylus has a flat side that attaches to the iPad with a magnet. Not only is this the charging position, but it is also the recommended position to put the pen down when not in use. Unfortunately, the holder that comes with the stand only extends enough to grip the iPad by either of its long sides, preventing the stylus from being placed in the charging position rather than the use position. This involves removing the iPad from the stand while the stylus is charging and storing the stylus elsewhere when not in use. This doesn't change my satisfaction with the product, but I checked with the manufacturer if they could supply a brace that would extend to cover the long sides.
