Update 8/30/20 - Dustpan has held, it seems pretty unbreakable, at least when you shovel a kitty the padding on the handle has come off completely but I'm dealing with one literally High Performance Doodoo. I have 6 cats. I have to clean the litter box every day, which costs a few pounds. Fail. You might suspect, and rightly so, that this isn't the most amazing part of the day, this scoop makes it easier. I had a lot of kitty litter, I used to spend a dollar on it and sometimes a few because they always ended up breaking. Then I bought two long handled ceramic spoons like this one, they were good but both broke within 8 months. So now I have this aluminum. It's the same length but stronger, with a more comfortable grip and a little easier to use in my opinion. Maybe this one breaks too, but even if it does, I'm sure it will last longer than all the others before it. So if you can't afford a giant automatic litter box and want to make your life a little easier, I recommend you buy one.
