Review on Oben TT-100 Table Top Tripod: Compact and Stable Solution for Perfect Shots by Jeff Richmond

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good Little Tripod is the best of tripods and monopods

Took this little one to the wedding. It's lightweight and looks stylish. It's very simple, just a ball head on three legs. The legs feel like steel but aren't very heavy. I think the Oben range of tabletop tripods is underrated, not many people know about them. I used it during my wedding. Placed my cousin's camcorder on the floor with this thing on while filming the video with my cam. It worked! Easily holds my Panasonic GX1 (compact system camera). It also fits a DSLR like the Nikon D40 with a kit lens. I take it with me when I travel. It's small and light enough to fit in a large jacket or pants pocket. When the legs are extended, they provide enough resistance so you only partially pull them and gain extra height off the ground, or use them on uneven ground such as a slope. B. higher rocks can place. Tried to use it to brace himself against his chest to stabilize the punches. A bit tricky as the legs are a bit short for this, but it worked. Cheaper than the Manfrotto block, good value for money. I was looking at a desktop model with an extension (TT-200) but it's a bit big for what I need it for. Not exactly pocketable, this TT-100 is definitely pocketable.

Pros
  • Limited 5 year manufacturer warranty
Cons
  • Long delivery time
