jury out. Best Among Cats

I only received this product a few days ago so I can't tell if it actually cleans my cat's teeth or not but I wanted to make a first impression. First, the 8 ounce bottle is very small. To get a better idea, this is half the size of a 16-ounce drinking water bottle. So if you want to use it regularly, it will be expensive. Second, they claim it's "tasteless," yeah that's a lie lol. Did you try? I'll try anything I give them (except wet food) and it tastes like hydrogen peroxide or highly diluted chlorinated pool water in their mouth. Mostly peroxide. In fact, I feel like I spent nearly $10 on a tiny bottle of peroxide. They recommend one teaspoon for every 8 ounces of water. This is the ratio I taste tested and as I said, it tastes like peroxide. I think peroxide mixed with aloe water is the best description. If I were an animal, I wouldn't want to drink it. As a human I would hate to drink that. It's a risky business because you're either facing them not drinking water, not drinking enough water, or you're in a situation where you need to give multiple servings of water, some processed, some not, just hoping that they drink . . . treated water. In this case, why bother at all, because no animal will voluntarily prefer this to plain fresh water. I've seen a decent number of dogs become addicted to it, but cats are so fussy that I doubt mine will get enough of this product to be of any use. We will see. Again, this is just my first impression. Update: I've started adding the recommended teaspoon to over 8 ounces of water because I've noticed my cats aren't drinking as much water as they normally would. Despite this, my cats started vomiting and also suffered from diarrhea. All within a week of using this product. In short, it was a waste of money.
