Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ TYC 620420 Upgraded Radiator and Condenser Cooling Fan Assembly by Besim Kahsar

It appears to be a quality all round aftermarket product. Only time and use determine the true quality.

This assembly was purchased for a 2005 Altima SL V6. Installed today with no problems. At first glance this appears to be a quality all round aftermarket product. Only time and use determine the true quality. As for the price, it's great. The Nissan Signature Assembly costs $256 with a replacement. You may or may not find my observations helpful; here they are for your consideration. Be careful when disconnecting the wiring harness from the OEM part. The wire clamps are strong, but you don't want to break one and risk losing your wire harness. Gently press the top of the connectors and pull out the male end. Be sure to route the wire harness all the way to the passenger side of the vehicle. Be careful not to spill a significant amount of coolant when disconnecting the upper radiator hose. To fill the radiator, you need to have water and antifreeze or a 50/50 mix on hand. The hose connects to the bottom of the assembly. Reach underneath to pull out. Then remove the 10mm screws at the top of the assembly. The bottom is held with clips. Make sure all hoses and wiring harnesses are free. Then slide the assembly out, starting on the passenger side, and then rotate (clockwise) up and out. The difficulty here is to bypass the upper radiator hose. It's like a woman, move slowly and measured. Don't use violence. To install a new node, reverse the process. Be especially careful not to pinch any wiring harnesses or hoses. After assembly, do not forget to fill the radiator. Check the (cold) radiator level in the next few days. Be sure to remove all tools from the engine compartment. Finally, you need to reconnect the hose to the bottom of the assembly. On my particular replacement, the hose hook was quite stiff and wouldn't snap the hose easily. In fact, the design convinced me that I would damage or kink the hose if I pushed on it. I know professionals can criticize this, but I have chosen not to push this issue. I placed the zip tie on top of the hook and then slipped the zip tie around the hose and through the one I put through the hook. It hit him very well. If you don't know, you can test the variable speed fan by inserting the key and turning on the ignition (without starting the car). Then press and release the driver's door lock button 10 times. Turn off the car and then turn the ignition back on (do not start). A beep will sound and the onboard diagnostics will test several vehicle electrical functions including the cooling fan assembly (2002-2006). I hope you find this useful. Molon Labe.
