I live in New England and it's a real pleasure to have hot water all day without having to wait. A few things I've learned. If you are using this for Shabbat or Yom Tov, the urn will automatically start boiling again when you add water, so fill it up before lighting the candle. There is only a hand pump in the urn. You don't have to worry about switching to Shabbat mode. If the cup takes forever to fill, open the lid and let in more air. The outside feels warm but shouldn't burn.
