Before, I used the cheapest refurbished Garmin I could find. Some running partners convinced me to upgrade. This thing has a fast satellite connection, tracks treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike workouts without a pod, and has great battery life. I run 4 times a week with regular GPS (not Ultratrac) and can use the GPS for hiking, biking or walking. I only have to charge once a week, and that's just because I want to do it on the same day of the week. I usually have 2 strips left when I charge it. I tried Ultratrac - sucks. That got me over 4 miles for the famous 3 mile run. I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 143 pounds. I've always avoided "big" watches. This size fits me. I recommend watching a few YouTube videos on how to use them.
