Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Axle Performance with Timken 512188 Axle Bearing and Hub Assembly by Marcus Cano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Made in the USA. Bearings of Japanese design NTN

Timken and SKF - two upper wheel bearings. I have a 2007 Acura TL. The original factory rear hub was made by NTN USA, identical to the Timken hub I received! However, be aware that Timken may send you a Chinese-made unit that is still good quality, but not as good as the US-made one. I originally ordered a Moog and it was a horribly bad Chinese stock with a lot of play and I had to send it back. I then ordered a Timken and received a Chinese made Timken with no stock markings. I didn't want to store my car in Chinese and sent it back. Third, I ordered SKF, SKF was made in China, but the bearing was very smooth unlike Moog. I decided to install it. Now I have to replace another rear bearing as it has almost 170,000 miles on it. I'm going to install this MADE IN USA I received today! In order of quality from best to worst: 1) NTN USA stock or Timken NTN USA stock with box (same) 2) SKF Made in China but high quality (not all Chinese parts are bad, what matters is, how much they are willing to pay 3) Timken made in China (good quality but not as good as in the US) 4) Moog/Raybestos/Centric/Etc.
