Very sweet and gentle. I was very pleased when I received it. Unfortunately, after a few hours of wearing it, my neck started to itch and redden. As soon as I took it off the itchy burning sensation stopped so it seems I'm allergic to something in the necklace which is unfortunate because it's very cute. Also, I don't generally have sensitive skin. UPDATE: I've only worn it a few times since writing this review as it causes reactions on my skin. However, after just a month of ownership, the chain fell apart. The color faded and the butterfly fell off the bottom of the chain. save your money
