Review on πŸ”ͺ Versatile V-Slice Mandoline Slicer by Weston Plastics with Durable Folding Base and Convenient Blade Storage Box by Summer Zitzner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Just One Problem is the best in graters, vegetable slicers and slicers

This has a few good points. It is easy to use and clean. The plastic accessory box is convenient for storing extra blades. The blades are capable of every type of cut I've ever made and more. I really expected to rate this 5 stars. Until I used it. I only wanted to cut 16 apples to make a large batch of apple chips. The mandolin produced perfect cuts about 65-70% of the time. But the apples kept getting stuck in the mandolin, causing many of the slices to crack and shatter. I tried experimenting with the amount of pressure I was putting on the apples and the speed at which I was running the apples over the blades, but still couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. The process turned out to be more chaotic and tiring than I expected. I had to constantly use a butter knife to pry out the bits of apple stuck under the blade. Maybe 16 apples was too much of a challenge for this mandolin.
