Review on 🧤 Hestra Heli Ski Womens Glove - Classic Leather Snow Mitten for Skiing, Snowboarding and Mountaineering: Optimized Fit for Women by Mike Barnes

My hands are cold, even in summer. Skiing when temperatures drop into the teens usually means my hands are icy after a few runs, even with lined gloves and heat packs in my old Burton Radar gloves. I just put on my brand new Hestra Heli Mittens for a week of skiing on Mount Tremblant in Quebec in early February when temperatures were in the single digits and below. While I wouldn't say my hands were warm, they weren't cold either. I don't generate much body heat and my hands even less, so despite lined gloves and thermal packs behind my fingers my hands felt cold after about 2 hours of skiing in the Hestra Heli but weren't that painful. They're not perfect, but I'm very happy with them because they keep my hands relatively warm. Now if only I could find heated liners to wear. I have 2 problems with these mittens: 1. They are partially white! This means they show dirt easily. My mittens were brand new and my palms were a little brownish just from carrying the skis from our condo to the bus and then to the convertible from the base of the hiking village to the base of the mountain. I wish the palms weren't so bright.2. Other reviewers raved about the Hestra handcuffs, but I found them overpriced and useless. They are not regulated! Yes, yes, these are elastic bands. So if your wrists are larger than the elastic loops, they will stretch to fit your wrists and prevent you from losing your expensive heli mittens. But I have thin wrists, which meant the non-adjustable handcuffs kept falling off if I removed my mittens to adjust my balaclava or goggles and then lowered my arms to my sides too quickly. I will definitely be replacing the Hestra handcuffs with adjustable wrist leashes!
