Exceeded Expectations

I knew I'd be right about the Hestra, but I was a bit worried about the 'white' leather palm. The quality of the leather is very good however the white color was not a problem and easy to clean when it gets dirty. I also LOVE the elastic straps that keep them on your wrist while skiing and make it easy and safe to take off your mittens when you want to stretch your hands while climbing the lift.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Short Manual

Highly recommended! fits gloves, mittens and liners

Fantastic! My fingers are always cold and these mittens are awesome! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I spent the weekend in very wet snow and they got a bit wet at the end of the day. However, they kept me in a good mood throughout the day and they are very comfortable. I love everything about them including the comfortable bracelets which helped me not to lose them!

Love it! - Outerwear

Argued between them and heated gloves because My hands are constantly cold. I have Raynauds and I can't stand the cold at all! I decided to purchase by heating based on the great reviews. I figured I could always get heating pads or use a heating pad if needed. I haven't done it yet either. These gloves have been fantastic and have kept my hands warm throughout the last ski season. The best gloves I've ever bought. I love her.

The best ski mittens: gloves, mittens and balaclavas

After trying them on in a ski shop I asked them as a gift for next season. If you struggle with cold hands, start by choosing mittens instead of gloves. I even found that my skill with them was better anyway. I love how soft and plush the inner lining is for my fingers and while these Hestras are the warmest mittens I've ever seen, they aren't stiff which is nice. The color is nice too. (The gray is pretty much white.) These Hestra mittens are now my favorite ski outfit.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Too small for me: gloves, mittens and balaclava

I went through all the sizing recommendations and my arm circumference was between a size 8 and 9, the arm length I found on the internet and didn't put on Revain was about a 9. ( It's hard to tell where to measure from your wrist.) Having Raynaud I really need a good fit. So I return them and get 10 on the male. I wish women had 10 because I like the color choices more. Spring. With my big hands and feet I'm used to it. Otherwise the gloves look great. I just haven't tested them on the road.

No cold hands!

I really like these mittens. I've always had problems with cold hands, but not with these. I've been using them for about 20 days and haven't had any issues with cold or wet/damp hands and have never needed a hand warmer (it's been cold with 60mph gusts for a few days). We skied in Nagano and Hokkaido Japan so the snow was very dry. Haven't used it on wet snow yet. Absolutely worth your money! Be sure to apply the included skin balm before use and when they look dry so they last!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

  • Hard to say

Exactly what I was looking for (see Hestra size chart)

Great gloves! Haven't worn them in extreme cold yet so this will be a big challenge (maybe next winter before that happens). I like the thick, comfortable, removable mitten-like liner that is washable. I wish the case was a bit thicker or maybe had a bit of lining sewn in. Unsurprisingly my hands were quite warm on a 40 degree ski day but the shell wasn't enough so I tucked the liners back in. I highly recommend going to the Hestra website to determine sizing. Based on their sizing chart I…

Fiction. But take a size up.

Fantastic mittens. super warm. I always have cold hands, so I did a little research to find the warmest ski gloves. I found out these Hestra Hili gloves were used by the North Pole explorers! I've ridden them in Montana with gloves on in sub-zero temperatures and they work perfectly. The only downside is that I bought the size according to the size chart and they were a bit tight on the wrists (and I have small wrists). Not too crowded but enough to get bored at some point. But since I love…

Warm mittens, minor problems with mittens

My hands are cold, even in summer. Skiing when temperatures drop into the teens usually means my hands are icy after a few runs, even with lined gloves and heat packs in my old Burton Radar gloves. I just put on my brand new Hestra Heli Mittens for a week of skiing on Mount Tremblant in Quebec in early February when temperatures were in the single digits and below. While I wouldn't say my hands were warm, they weren't cold either. I don't generate much body heat and my hands even less, so…
