The filter size was 2-3/16" instead of 2-1/2", making it about 13% smaller. Filters depend on the "surface" to be filtered. So if the surface area is 13% smaller, the filter quality is reduced by 13%, allowing additional sediment to pass through. And of course the filters don't last that long. Previous purchases from other sellers were 2-1/2 inches as described in their ad.
- Please note that this filter is not a reverse osmosis filter and will NOT reduce the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of your water. If you're looking for a TDS removal system, you can check out Bluonic's RO systems. The cartridges are individually wrapped for freshness. Unpack cartridges before use.
