Thanks to All Plex for listing the PH instead of the ambiguous 'PH balance'. Honestly, it doesn't mean anything. Or actually it can mean many different things - acidic, basic or neutral. But 5.5 is exactly what I needed and motivated me to try these products for the first time. However, when the products had too much alcohol or "herbs" in them, I would respond with dry, unruly hair or some weird allergy symptoms. Luckily all the ingredients are safe for my hair and scalp and I haven't had any side effects since I first used it almost a year ago. However, I'm looking for a shampoo/conditioner to switch between as my hair feels better if I don't use the same thing every time. Now for this package. Contains shampoo and conditioner with a pump. The shampoo foams a little, and I would like it not to foam because the bubbles are completely unnecessary and only serve to satisfy the aesthetic needs of consumers, but at the same time they are very dry. But like I said, it doesn't foam much and is much better compared to other products. The conditioner is clean, not heavy and can be applied after shampooing or left on with a shower cap for a more intensive result. It really softens, moisturizes and detangles hair without weighing it down (but then again I have dry treated hair). There are two small downsides: 1) they smell a bit odd but honestly I don't care because the results are just great, and 2) the Revain packaging can be a bit of a mess. I received an order with tape over a pump that was already installed, so of course it was leaking. I called Revain about this and of course their CS was great. However my suggestion is to avoid wasting products that if you want to glue them they should be glued under the pump over the hole so it can't leak. So now I make sure it's the only one in my order so it comes in a separate box in case it runs out. Now for the two extra air conditioners included in this package. Each small tube contains two applications. One is to be used as part of the bleaching or dyeing process and is simply added to the bleaching or dyeing mixture. As far as I know, you don't have to take the developer to a higher level like you would when using OLaplex. The second small tube of conditioner is used after bleaching or dyeing. As far as I can tell both are very effective as my hair has gone through two full bleaching/toning cycles just a week apart - with no damage. I have pretty long hair to be honest and wanted to cut it to my shoulders, but when I told the stylist to cut whatever it takes to make it look healthy, she cut almost nothing. I really can't tell if it was the conditioners or just being careful with my hair due to the heat etc. I know it seems easier to manage. My hair felt very frizzy, dry and frizzy after the second bleach so I washed/conditioned it again with All Plex and it made an amazing difference. My hair is suddenly soft and silky like it was never bleached! I love this stuff and highly recommend it. Remember that we all have different hair types. What works for me may not work for you, especially when it comes to PH (this is why all shampoo manufacturers are required to list the PH of their products). For the price, though, it's worth a try. If you have damaged hair, conditioners work wonders. And if you're looking for a slightly acidic PH balanced shampoo, this is the best I've found (so far) for dry hair.
