Revain Vine has given me the opportunity to test out a few wallets lately. I've been trying to find the perfect micro wallet for me and so far nothing beats the Clifton Slim Wallet (including this wallet from Hide and Co). The wallets I tried are Clifton, Fidelo, Filgate.Hide and Co:Nice Compact Wallet, similar to Clifton but inferior in several areas. For work and life I have 2 work IDs, a driver's license, a debit card, a credit card and a train card. Clifton holds them, as well as cash and a few other items. Hide and Co will not keep them all. There is no ID, no other stuff (which can be a good thing) and it's very tight to hold cash. Another big plus for me about the Clifton is the thumb hole in the ID window. I always pull out my ID and Clifton makes it easy for me. If you have a little less stuff than me and don't mind a thumb hole, this wallet might be for you. Here are a few other wallets you might think of: Fidelo: I've used your typical bi- and tri-fold wallets over the years. recently doubled. However, I got this minimalist wallet for Christmas: https://www.amazon.com/FIDELO-Credit-Card-Holder-Wallet/dp/B01MRK8IYF/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1524899807&sr=8-7&keywords=Minimal+ happy with Fidelo wallet. It's durable and as small as it gets. I usually keep about 4 cards at the Fidelo center, a train card on one side and cash on the other. Everything reliable and as compact as possible. However, if you use the cards in the middle a lot, they can be a little awkward to dig up. ?ie=UTF8 I personally think that Clifton strikes a great balance between the convenience of a regular wallet and the compactness of a minimalist wallet. I keep the same 4 cards plus train card and cash in Clifton as I do in Fidelo but they are definitely easier to access. My IDs are in the window pocket with a small hole to pull them out. My other cards are placed in the pocket pile on the other side, and the draw card is placed on the other side. My cash goes into the pocket behind the ID window. Like Fidelo, I carry this wallet in one of my front pockets or in the breast pocket of my suit. Both Fidelo and Clifton feel comfortable anywhere. Having them I would probably choose between Fidelo and Clifton, but if I had to choose, I would choose Clifton. One more note. The name of the product refers to the RFID blocking. I'm not sure how my rail card works, but it works fine in a wallet, so the wallet might not actually block RFID. Otherwise great wallet! Filgate: I received this wallet in both brown and black (for Vine Review). It is in order. The best way I can describe it is that it's possibly the worst of both worlds. This is not so compact for a micro wallet. This is not so functional for a normal sized wallet. At the time of writing this, it's also more expensive than other options. On the plus side, the wallet feels very durable and I like the leather. To be honest, this wallet holds 6 cards and cash, making it all pretty affordable. Cons: The dual design makes it bulky without adding space. I don't like the money clip mechanism. It takes up space but isn't all that useful. As far as I can tell, a single slot on the inside of each card door saves no space compared to multiple slots. If you aim for the minimum size, the wallet will be longer than necessary.
