Excellent camera. If it works

I bought a camera for a trip to the West. Worked great and did everything I wanted. I love the slow motion feature which I still want to play with but haven't tried yet. The GPS is a bit slow to pick up a signal at times, but that's just a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things. Here's the problem: For three quarters of my vacation, I noticed a black fuzzy dot in the upper right corner of all the shots. Depending on the zoom setting, it's clearly visible or almost completely out of focus and not as noticeable. I think dirt got into the chamber, but I'm not sure. There was nothing on the lens. So I sent it in for warranty service. That's when the problem started. The return of the camera took 2 months. The service website showed "parts service" most of the time. When I finally returned it the problem was fixed but they managed to break the GPS function while they fixed it. The camera is no longer receiving GPS signals. So I sent it back with a detailed email explaining what they appear to have done. I also said that I have lost confidence in this particular device and they would mind replacing it entirely. I sent the camera back after 3 weeks. The bill of lading said they had swapped out more electronics, but apparently no one bothered to take the camera outside to make sure it was now picking up GPS signals. It's not like this. You haven't fixed the problem. And they used a totally battered and torn box to send it back to me. They simply sealed the damage with extra tape and stuck a shipping label on it. I was not at all impressed with their warranty repair department. This will be my LAST Nikon product. I'm a big Olympus fan, but I bought Nikon because of the GPS technology. Unfortunately, the ownership experience isn't that great.
