Small enough to be hand-held. It comes with a foldable tripod and a phone mount. The monocular is durable and designed for use in harsh environments. It's also marked as waterproof, although I haven't tested it underwater. The lens is good. It had smudges when it arrived, but it's good that it came with lens cleaner too. I couldn't find any birds to photograph. What I found was a flag hanging in the distance. I could have given the actual distance, but I suggest trying instead. I'm glad it came with a tripod for stability. I just connected my cell phone and had to take pictures with it.
