Review on Premium Aluminum External USB 3.0 UHD 4K Blu-Ray Writer Super Drive for PC and Mac by Archgon by Alif Wills

So my previous external Blu-ray drive failed and I was looking for a new one. I stumbled across this product and after reading the good reviews I decided to give it a try. I already had another UHD drive in my unraid tower but figured why not check it out for the future and spend some extra money to get it. It works! If you know what to do. I can't give this a full 5 star rating as you have to for it to read UHD 4K discs. It doesn't come with the firmware version you want, so you'll need a PC to get it back. To do this, you need to go to the MakeMKV forums and download the necessary package. To help you, watch the TROYPOINT YouTube video titled How to Flash a 4K UHD Blu-ray Drive to Rip Movies and TV Shows with MakeMKV. He uses the exact same disk, shows you where to get it, and walks you through it. At first I didn't and spent all morning researching it. I received the package I needed, but I didn't select the correct firmware for its firmware. If you're new to this, he has a few other videos that you might find helpful to watch. After flashing it to the correct firmware, my UHD drives worked properly. The drive seems pretty fast and is great for reading DVDs, regular Blu-rays, and UHD Blu-rays. However, the thing is loud! I have attached a 2 part video for you. The other reviews were correct, it sounds like a spaceship taking off! No idea what that means in terms of build quality, so I'll update my review if I run into any issues with it. Otherwise it works great and I'm happy with my purchase.
