The first time I picked up an Ipad Air I remember thinking how light it was. The weight was a big factor in me never buying an Ipad as I couldn't see myself holding for that long. My gf on the other hand is really into editing pictures and doesn't have a laptop so I bought the Ipad Air for her. Anyways, we had to wait a couple days for the case to arrive so we used the naked ipad all the while commenting on how light it was. When the case came we put it on right away and the first thing we both noticed was how not light it was anymore. It wasn't heavy but after a few days using it at its lightest you definitely notice the difference with this case on it. It just feels a tad lighter than an older Ipad instead of a butt load. That being said this case is still one of the lightest cases for the Ipad air and it's folding cover works marvelously.
