We've moved into a studio apartment where the bed is the focal point. I couldn't be happier with this duvet set. I've had it for half a year and my 12 year old Labradoodle passed the toughest tester all winter! The Scotchgard treatment was very important to me because yes it does get dirty and just bounces on the bed and I just wipe things off but honestly it doesn't show up that often. It's a lovely navy blue with red and various tones of burgundy with a bit of tan, dark enough but still light enough to look pretty as you can see. I have successfully dry washed the set twice on a gentle low setting according to the manufacturer's instructions. It was wonderful, I'm so happy with this purchase. It is not too thin and not too thick and is very comfortable to sleep on. It's not heavy but heavy enough, my husband and I can't share a duvet so I fold it up and use it for myself and he uses a separate duvet and it's fine. It depends on how you sleep, it's not heavy blanket but heavy enough. I think it looks beautiful in front of my fireplace. Got lots of compliments, people even notice it when they zoom in lol. I'm very impressed with the quality and price of this brand so I'm in the process of purchasing another set (quilt set) of summer colors to switch to the season. You should know that I'm extremely picky and have spent more time than I'd like to admit looking for the right comforters. Example: I'm preparing to post about the sale of a summer bedding I bought from another designer that I just don't like (the quality is great, but the design is too rich and too bright). I'm forced to sell it because I've waited too long to be able to return it. I just said that to show you I'm very, very picky. These plaid blankets are beautiful and very expensive from other designers. This is a great bedding set, especially for the price. Oh, and most importantly, I should mention that my bed is the king of California! Well, the ceiling is very generous, they say it hangs down to the side, after all very beautiful, just perfect. I should definitely have a duster on the bottom because it won't fall on the floor, but I didn't want it to look like it did.
