I have a 10 week old grey/black tabby kitten that I have been keeping for 7 weeks, he loves his litter box, it's not too deep. Deep enough for him to step on as he continues to grow, he'll make a mess with his litter, but that's why the rug comes in handy! He loves the carpet and will bite, chew and even chase it. Definitely recommend for newborn little kittens! Hope that helps.
